Neuromed's NMED-160 in phase I

Neuromed Technologies focusses on developing new drugs based on calcium channel modulation. Neuromed has identified a selective N-type calcium channel blocker with analgesic effects, relevant for the treatment of neuropathic pain.

A new ligand from Neuromed is a small molecule NMED-160, and it could be administered orally. NMED-160 entered in 2010 a Phase I double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial in healthy individuals.
